FAQ

Workshops & Clubs

Do I need any experience?

No, all workshops and clubs are designed for complete beginners as well as more experienced makers. Everything is guided and supportive, and you can work at your own pace.

What do I need to bring?

Nothing. All materials and tools are provided unless stated otherwise on the workshop page.

Can I come on my own?

Yes and many people do. These sessions are relaxed, welcoming and social without any pressure to talk or perform.

What if I can’t finish my piece?

That’s absolutely fine. These sessions are about the process of making rather than finishing a perfect product.

Are refreshments included?

Yes. Hot drinks and light snacks are provided during workshops (tea, coffee, squash, biscuits or cake depending on the venue).

What happens if I can’t attend?

Workshops and clubs are non-refundable. If you have any issues, please contact hello@gingerandmake.co.uk and I’ll always try to help where possible.

Are your workshops suitable for children?

No. All workshops and clubs are for ages 18+ only.

Where are workshops held?

Workshops take place in different venues across Plymouth, Saltash and surrounding areas. The exact location is always listed on each workshop page.

Can I come if I’m not creative?

Yes. There is no expectation to be 'good' at anything. These sessions are about slowing down, exploring materials and enjoying the process of making.

Wire Signs & Commissions

Do you make custom wire signs?

Yes, I create bespoke wire words, names and designs. You can get in touch via email to discuss ideas, wording and sizing.

How long do custom wire signs take?

Turnaround times vary depending on design and workload, I aim to complete makes within 2 weeks of ordering. I’ll confirm this with you when you place your order.

Can I request something personal?

Yes. Most wire pieces are custom made, including names, words, house names, gifts and personal phrases.

Do you post wire signs?

Yes. Wire signs can be posted safely within the UK, or collected if you’re local. Delivery options will be confirmed at the time of ordering.

Can I learn wire making instead of buying a sign?

Yes, my wire workshops are a great way to learn the process and create your own pieces in a guided setting.
